Caroline and Mikel got to know each other with a rough start at the Fashion Week Berlin in 2012. After a short period they worked blind hand in hand. Their creative connection caused a brilliant concept in 2015. Employ two fast learning and perfectly transforming artists bookable as team to gain an optimum for the customers.But why Tori and Hain?Caroline, living in Hamburg, spoke when she talked to Mikel, living in Berlin Friedrichshain, with her likeable northern accent. During their frequent creative meetings they fast recognized that it is very important to find a name for their team which reflects their personalities.So Tori was made from Carolines surname Torbahn because she embodies an American style. Mikel got the name Hain derived from Friedsrichshain because he is as creative and versatile as the part of town itself. The union of two artists nowadays is the perfect opportunity to get what you want- a relaxed work atmosphere of two artists with professional apprenticeships and experience for a better conversion of plans.


Caroline Torbahn has been born in Crivitz and momentary shuttles between Hamburg and Berlin.As hair and makeup artist she is working for international lifestyle magazines as well as for commercial customers.Caroline started her career in 2011 based on cosmetics. In 2012 she passed a course for hair and makeup in Munich. Since 2013 she has been working as a freelance hair and makeup artist. Her work distinguishes itself by her love to the detail combined with innovation and experimental joy.

Already during her apprenticeship she has assisted several well known makeup artists, f.e. LoniBaur. In this time she has worked on Lonis side with photographers like Simon Emmett, Armin Morbach, Liz Collins.Contemporaneously Caroline assisted hair stylist Patrick Glatthaar and Nina Park and improved her knowledge in hair and makeup.Caroline learned fast and developed her skills rapidly so that she was able to work in New York in 2015 and to get publications in f.e. Fucking Young Magazine, Institute Magazine, Lovefmd Magazine and others.


Mikel Schmidt early decided to become a makeup artist. In 2004 he finished his training at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in Paris as a spezialist for Make-up with skills in Beauty, Fashion, Visagism, Make-up for TV and Cinema, Special Effekts with and without Latex (aging, scars, injuries a.o.), Face and Bodypainting.Customer Maybelline New York who Mikel has been working for as Head of makeup from the start of Berlin Fashion Week enabled him to work together with Max Delorme. Max realized Mikel’s talent and decided to take him as his assistant. During that time he has worked with photographers like Karl Lagerfeld and Joachim Baldauf. His works have been published in several magazines, f.e. Vogue, Runway and EnVie.

After working in business for a while and working with the well known Hairstylist André Märtens his passion for hair and hairdressing was awaked. So he decided also to start an apprenticeship as a hairdresser in Berlin at artgerecht.Today Mikel is settled in Berlin, but because of his several great contacts he is very flexible
